Final Conference in Spain
On the 22nd of October, Asociación PROJUVEN held the Final Conference of the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs (NGOE) project in Benalmadena, Spain. This event marked the completion of phase 5 of the project, showcasing the achievements, results, and impact of PR4 and PR5 to Spanish stakeholders.
Key Participants:
- Youth workers, youth leaders, and professionals working with young people in non-formal settings.
- Representatives of business associations and parents’ associations.
The goal was to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including those not directly involved in the project, to discuss the potential adoption and further development of the NGOE educational resources. This includes the promotion of entrepreneurial education for young people using innovative ICT tools, preparing them for their future careers.
Event Highlights:
- Presentation of the Online Toolkit for Young People (PR4) and the Youth Workers Implementation Guide (PR5).
- Attendees were encouraged to explore the online platform, a key element of PR4, and download PR5 from the project website.
- Discussions focused on how the project’s results could be integrated into public programmes and ensure sustainability beyond the project’s end.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Participants were encouraged to use public transport, bicycles, or walk to the event.
- A waste collection and recycling system was implemented at the venue.
- Digital promotional materials were used to minimize paper waste.
- The catering provided was vegetarian, made from seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on reducing food waste and eliminating single-use items.
This conference highlighted the success of the NGOE project and also set the stage for future collaborations and long-term impact on entrepreneurial education for young people.
