On September 18th, Uudo Laane introduced the "Next Generation of Entrepreneurs" project to the leadership members of the Pärnumaa Disabled People’s Organization. The meeting focused on sharing the key outcomes of the project, which aimed to empower migrant women by providing financial education and fostering entrepreneurial skills. Uudo Laane highlighted how participants, who were migrant women from several European countries, developed crucial competencies in budgeting, business planning, and understanding their rights within the EU.
The leadership members expressed interest in how the project’s methods could be adapted to serve other vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities. They discussed the shared challenges faced by both migrant communities and individuals with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of financial independence and entrepreneurship as tools for empowerment. The practical workshops offered in the project, which focused on soft skills, problem-solving, and creating viable business plans, were seen as adaptable models for their own community.
The feedback from the participants in the "Next Generation of Entrepreneurs" project was overwhelmingly positive, as they not only gained new skills but also built a supportive network of like-minded individuals. The leadership team was eager to explore opportunities for collaboration, seeing clear parallels between the objectives of the project and their own goals of promoting social inclusion and empowerment. This meeting was a vital step toward ensuring the project's broader impact across different communities in Estonia.
